This Heron was certainly in a hurry and so was I...not much time for photography anymore.
Since I don't have much time I only had my Sony in my purse and without the big lens.
That was a strand of my hair across the lower right of the picture...windy day. Well...guess it's Heron today and gone tomorrow. haha

I love his big stride in the first photo - Don't give it up; you're too good...some of us just have to squeeze the photo-ops in, ut it's worth it.
Wow! I had to laugh when I saw your Heron. It must have been the week end for them! They were out in force everywhere.. I just posted 'Herons' Love the strides yours was making and the take off. Great shots girl.
I just discovered your blog. You have some very good photos here!
It is great that you can stop and appreciate what nature has to offer even when in a hurry. Good Job

So glad you caught him. I love Herons so much.
For being in a hurry, they are just beautiful close-up shots, Jan!
