I guess it's really true...the early bird really does catch the worm!
Sorry...too late...you only get a nut. That'll teach you to get up earlier! haha
Some prefer searching for bugs in the bark of a tree.
Guess you should've listened for the morning wake up call from the rooster.
This little Downy Woodpecker is looking at me wondering..." Hey...where's the suet lady?"
Another late riser...missed out on the worm and the seeds.
That's alright...breakfast can always be found buried under the bark of a tree.
If you come for breakfast at the Backyard Diner...please remember...come early!

Those are lovely - just looking at them made me happy.
What a great set of bird photos! And I love the captions too.
Your pictures are all so beautiful! What a great variety of birds.
You need to serve breakfast to them. Have you thought about getting some mealy worms to feed the bluebirds? It is easy to make a feeder. Our chickens Lucy and ethel get all the early worms. :)
Backyard birds do make us happy now don't they? I love that rooster with the Carolina wren on it. Where do you get these props? Great series. Great photos!
Beautiful and the clarity is just incredible, Jan!
