A Tale of Two Redheads

This is a tale...or should I say tail (haha) of two redheads. My Red-headed Woodpecker...

And my...Red-belly who also is a redhead and very photogenic!


Of course...this is my favorite redhead!!!


Oh yes...and I almost forgot...there's a third redhead:

the photographer...yours truly. hee-hee

That is so cute, a tale of "three redheads"! We don't get to see the red-headed woodpecker until we travel south, unfortunately. He is so striking.

Thanks...he's a little shy right now...hopefuly that will change later in the season. BTW...I would love to get a great shot of the Cedar Waxwing like yours!!!

Red is so bright and beautiful and makes for great pictures. I love both woodpeckers..wish we had the redhead here. As for the red headed photographer, I like her pretty much too! Have a great day Jan!

Both are beautiful - but - I have red-bellied, and I don't have a red-head coming to my yard. Boy, would I love to aim my glass his way. Thank you!

I appreciate redheads. I married one! :-D I used to have Red-Headed Woodpeckers visit me in Charleston. Supposedly, they make it this far north, but I've never seen one up here, and now they are listed as Endangered here. I do see the Red-Bellied though. Your pictures are gorgeous! I think you should have included one of yourself in the post. LOL

Wow, I love those 2 species of Woodpecker ,and both are very rare sightings over in Saskatchewan, although a female Red-bellied showed up way south last December.
Great photos of them all !
