This is the male Great Crested Flycatcher who is a very territorial bird.
He will viciously attack any bird that gets too close to the nesting box.
This is his pretty mate who is busy reproducing other Flycatchers.
The male Flycatcher often escorts his lovely mate to the nest box...
making sure she gets their safely....often emitting a loud warning to chase off predators!
I feel really fortunate that these interesting birds chose my nest box to raise their family!!!
