For a 'student', you are doing beautifully!! The shots all look like they were done by someone with lots of previous experience. The Cardinal shots are regal and, I love the feeder, it's so cute with all the potential prey feasting. Wish my water dish looked like yours...not frozen!!
I bet the DSLR is intimidating but looks like you're doing a great job. I love the background and bright red of the cardinal picture and of course love the warbler as I don't get them at my feeders. Keep up the good work! I hear all about the woes of the 'camera' from sissy.. haha
