Bluebirds al Natural

The Bluebirds natural habitat has been disappearing at an alarming rate!

When these beautiful birds numbers began declining...

people like us started providing them with nesting boxes...

and fortunately their numbers have increased!!!

Finding them nesting in their natural habitat is an exceptional gift of which I am very thankful!!!

Every good gift and every perfect gift comes from God. James 1:17

Celebration of Earth Day and the Earth's Creator

With the celebration of Earth Day, I thought, what better way to celebrate it then where the Earth began...

in a garden! Genesis 1:1-31

Although not the Garden of Eden...I hope you will enjoy.

A Squirrelly Kind of Spring

With all the hours I've had to work this spring it's made me a little squirrelly! lol

Somehow I feel I've missed most of the lovely spring we have in North Carolina.

This is why I've chosen to show you just how squirrelly it's been...

LITTERLY!!! haha Too much work and no play can make you nuts.

There is a light at the end of the tunnel...my schedule will soon be back to normal. YEAH!!!!!!!!!!

A Little Privacy Please!

A birdbath all to myself...how wonderful!

My...this feels so great in the heat of the day.

Splish...splash...I was taking a bath on a Saturday afternoon.

Oh great...and just how long have you been there??

Oh Lord...can't I ever get any privacy?

Even the paparazzi is photographing me...this invasion of privacy is for the birds!!!

The Harbinger of Spring

The harbinger of spring sings a joyous song to announce this special season...

a season of new birth bursting from the earth.

Announcing it's arrival with leaves unfurled and flowers blooming everywhere.

Such a common bird...hearlding the arrival of a time of uncommon beauty when the earth seems to come back to life!

Our Robin Red-breast...while a common sight...is always welcome.

Sometimes I think we take our spring messenger for granted.

Our Robin really is an attractive bird...but they are so readily seen...

we have a tendency to ignore them in favor of the elusive birds that are not sighted as often.

This spring let's celebrate our colorful breasted messenger of spring. To every thing there is a season...and this one belongs to our beloved Robin!
