WELCOME TO THE PBRA

Yes..."The Boys Are Back In Town!"

That is...the cowboys who ride bulls in the Professional Bull Riding Association.

I notice that a lot of these tough cowboys wear crosses on their chaps and some on their vests.

That's for two reasons...1 the Cowboys For Christ ministry is big on the rodeo circuit...

and the 2nd reason is they never know when an 8 second ride will be their last!!!

Since I only had my Sony and lighting was poor...making action shots impossible...

thought I'd give you an up close and personal view of the bull riders.

These cowboys sure were friendly and didn't seem to mind me and my camera at all.

Well...hope you enjoyed the little behind the scenes tour...come back later and I'll let you see some of them in action...although they blurred due to poor lighting.

A Tour Through The Captivating Camellia Gardens

Come with me on a tour through the Camellia Gardens.

As you'll notice even the bee's are fooled into thinking spring!

Of course...what do you expect in a temperature reaching almost almost 80 in February!

I just love the wide array of colors that they come in...don't you?

It's so nice to come in the winter and find so many lovely blooms to capture with your camera.

I guess it's just a nice sunny Sony kinda day. (hee-hee)

You know it's gonna be a warm balmy day when the birds and the bees are out!

This is the last shot in our tour...hope you enjoyed our little jaunt.

Come again and be sure to bring your camera along next time!

The Hawk Tale

I was on the way home from a friend's house when I spotted this hawk on a pole.

Of course I stopped right in the middle of the road and began to snap a few photo's.

As a car beeped behind me the Hawk flew to a fence...where I followed and started shooting.

That's when a man at the house where the pole and the fence was located kept walking towards my car...saying, " Excuse me...why are you photographing my house?"

I slowly turned around and put one finger up...letting him know in a minute...then went back to shooting. Obviously he scared the Hawk away and I let him know it. haha Then snapping out of my paparazzi mode I apologized to him and thankfully he was very understanding. I told him when I see a Hawk my brain takes flight and leaves me momentarily!
